Growing up in the small town of Gt. Barrington, Massachusetts in the Berkshires was wonderful. I was surrounded by beautiful landscapes and forever changing seasons with cascades of flowers for inspiration.
I decided to pursue my love of art with watercolor being my medium of choice. Studying with the best known artists around, my career was off and running. With my continued love of watercolors, I started to add a form of collage to my paintings, taking my work to another dimension.
Throughout the years of my career, I have been fortunate to have an impact on the art world, from art league president, show juror, demonstrator to teacher. Today, while operating my studio/gallery in Gt. Barrington, Massachusetts, my husband Hank and I travel to many prestigious juried outdoor art festivals across the United States.
Painting is a fabulous journey. You never know where it will lead you, but when I look at a piece of white paper and start laying in the colors... things happen. It brings me great happiness when I can touch someone's life through my paintings. This is the way life should always be.
